Inside a Saju chart
This is the Saju Palja (사주팔자) of a woman born on May 20, 1994, 10:00 in the morning, calculated by the same manseh-ryeok engine that draws yours. Four pillars, eight characters, each pillar a heavenly stem over an earthly branch.

Five Elements Balance
What a Korean master reads in it
01
Day Master 일간
The stem of the day pillar stands for you. Here it is 丙, Yang Fire, the sun: warm, visible, quick to act. Every other character in the chart is read by how it meets this one.
02
Five Elements 오행
Count the eight characters by element. This chart holds Fire 4, Earth 2, Wood 1, Water 1 and Metal 0. She was also born in a Fire month, so her Day Master is rated Strong (신강). A strong chart is balanced by what cools it: Water is her Beneficial Element (용신), and Metal supports it.
03
Ten Gods 십성
Each character takes a role from how its element meets the Day Master. 癸 Water controls Fire, so it is her Direct Authority (정관): rules, duty, a formal career. 己 Earth is what Fire produces, her Hurting Officer (상관): expression and a sharp tongue. Metal would be her Wealth, and none of the eight characters is Metal.
04
Hidden Stems 지장간
Every branch carries stems inside it. 巳 holds 戊, 庚 and 丙. 戌 holds 辛, 丁 and 戊. The Metal missing from the surface is there underneath, as 庚 in both 巳 branches and 辛 in 戌. A reading that stops at the eight visible characters would tell her she has no Wealth at all.
05
Twelve Life Stages 십이운성
The Day Master is graded at each branch on a twelve step cycle that runs from Birth through Peak to Tomb. 丙 is at Peak (제왕) on its own day branch 午 and at Prime (건록) on both 巳 branches, which agrees with the element count. On the year branch 戌 it is at Tomb (묘).
06
Combinations and Clashes 합충
Branches react with each other. 午 and 戌 are two of the three branches in the Fire trio 寅午戌, so they already pull together and add heat. The missing third, 寅, arrives with her luck cycle at 25 and completes the trio, in a chart that has more Fire than it needs.
07
Special Stars 신살
Some branches carry a star by position. 午 on her day branch is a Peach Blossom (도화살), charm and visibility. The 巳 on her month and hour branches is a Traveling Horse (역마살), movement and change of place. Stars color a reading. They never replace the elements.
08
Ten-Year Luck Cycles 대운
The birth chart never changes. Timing comes from ten-year cycles counted from the month pillar, and hers run backward from 己巳. The cycles at 45 and 55, 甲子 and 癸亥, bring Water to the branch, the element this chart has been short of since birth.
