Day Masters
Each person's day stem is who they are at the core. Wood feeding Fire, Metal shaping Wood: the relation between the two elements is the first thing a Korean reader looks at, because it says who gives energy and who gives shape.

Enter two birth dates. We calculate both Four Pillars charts with the same engine a Korean master uses, then score what sits between them: the Day Masters, the spouse palaces, the Year and Month Branches, and the elements you fill for each other. Every point is shown. Nothing about the second person is stored.

Each person's day stem is who they are at the core. Wood feeding Fire, Metal shaping Wood: the relation between the two elements is the first thing a Korean reader looks at, because it says who gives energy and who gives shape.
The Day Branch under each Day Master is the spouse palace, the part of a chart that describes a partner. Two spouse palaces that combine are the relation Saju likes best between partners; two that clash name the argument that keeps coming back.
The Year Branch carries family and the wider world, the Month Branch carries daily rhythm and home. Their relations say whether the two of you move through a week the same way.
A chart with no Water meets a chart with plenty of it. In Saju that is not a mismatch; it is what one person brings the other. Every element one chart lacks and the other supplies counts for the pair.
The score starts at 46. Day Masters that feed each other add 12, the same element adds 6, one controlling the other adds 6. One Yin and one Yang add 6. Spouse palaces in a six-combination add 14; a half three-combination adds 10; a clash takes 14; a punishment or harm takes 8; a destruction takes 6. Year Branches run from -6 to +6, Month Branches from -5 to +5. Each element one chart lacks and the other carries adds 3, up to 9. The total is held between 12 and 96. The same two charts give the same score whichever of you goes first.
Before you enter two dates
Gunghap is the Korean practice of laying two Four Pillars birth charts side by side and reading what sits between them: how the two Day Masters relate, whether the two Day Branches (each person's spouse palace) bind or clash, how the Year and Month Branches sit together, and whether one chart supplies an element the other lacks. It is read for couples first, but the same relations apply to friends, family and people who work together.
It starts at 46 and adds or subtracts six parts, all shown on your result. Day Masters that feed each other earn 12; one Yin and one Yang earn 6; spouse palaces in a six-combination earn 14 while a clash costs 14; the Year and Month Branches score the same way on a smaller scale; and each element one chart has none of and the other has plenty of earns 3, up to 9. The result is held between 12 and 96 because no two charts are a perfect fit or a hopeless one.
No. The score reads the Day Masters and the Day, Year and Month Branches, which all come from the date. A birth time adds the Hour Pillar to each person's chart on the page, and it is stated as unknown rather than guessed when you do not have it.
No. Their birth date is used to calculate their chart and then dropped. Only the person who enters their email is recorded, as a lead for this site. Enter the second person's date only with their permission, and both people must be 16 or over.
A low score names friction, not a verdict. A clash between two spouse palaces describes a pull in opposite directions that both people feel at home; plenty of long relationships carry one and know exactly where it lives. The reading below the score is where that turns into something you can use.
Six sections written for your two charts the moment you pay, $9 for both charts in one payment: what drew you together, how each of you loves, where the friction lives, the coming year for both of you, the same pair as friends and at work, and what to do about it. The Couple Report ($72) goes further: a full personal report for each of you, read by Master K himself.
